I will be there although it is complicated. Short version is I return from a 7 day Tuna trip Saturday, September 22 docking in San Diego at 6:00 AM. My son Alex is going to drive the '56 late Friday night and park it at our spot. Nancie will come down with him. I will make a beeline to CFAC as soon as we dock and my buddy will take care of my fish and tackle. Before anyone asks, yes I will shower before I get off the boat.

Bob,
You should probably shower before getting on the boat.
You obviously don't know anything about fishing...or Italians!
First off we leave on a Sunday which is both 3 days after Wednesday and 3 days before Wednesday aka Italian bath night. Second, to be successfull at fishing it is important to "blend in" so scent is very important.
Third, and pay attention here JR, unless you are interested in "impressing" or attracting someone, showering so that you look and smell your best BEFORE getting on a boat with 28 other guys for 7 days is likely NOT recommended.

I need to get you listed. Parking at CT corner is first come first served. We will hold a spot as long as possible if you let us know your coming. It starts to fill in around 7am and some guys park the night before.
I'll add you to the list.

I'd like to be someone too! I was always told that if I worked really hard someday I would be somebody, then I found out that you need to know someone to be somebody and sometimes before you know it you were once somebody but then just when you think you really are somebody along comes someone who tells you that actually it is somebody else which tends to really confuse you because someone is always right but then someone is always wrong, so you really don't know if you are somebody or were somebody at sometime.
Then just when you thought you had it all worked out you find out from someone that somebody always gets screwed and somebody always gets to short end of the stick! Geez you spend all your life trying to be somebody and then you find out this... It now seems it is even worse than you thought because it appears that we actually voted someidiot President and now he's. with absolutely no experience or accomplishments become somebody by simply BS'ing his way through life. And here you have been going at it all wrong, you don't actually need to work hard or even be all that honest to be somebody afterall. And you wonder why somebody would end up with a drinking problem!

Well gentlemen, I will see you guys a week from Saturday. Don't forget to bring your beach and surf wear. Those with longboards are encouraged to bring them too. The sand will be there complete with lifeguard tower and ubrella, all we need is some cool '60's Hot Rod and Surf music. If anyone has a LA County Lifeguard floatation device that would be way cool. We could also use some sea shells to complete the effect.
'till then hang ten all you cool hodaddys, boppers, and beach babes!

I will be there on Friday night with Thadd for the pizza and parking. That make 2 more "Some Guys". I will be back on Saturday morning early with my 56 Suburban. Save me a spot.
I was thrashing on a 51 Fleetline for the show.
I built a 350 ( +.040 ),RV cam, flattop pistons,
ported and polished heads, back cut and swirl polished valves, and a lot more. Hooked to a 350 auto trans and turning a 56 Chevy rear mounted on aftermarket springs. Some of my suppliers failed to get the parts to me on time. The thrash became a trash. Oh well.

Wear your beach attire George. We have a beach theme going at CT corner. Complete with sand...
I'll be there on Friday about 5ish with Paula and Bob's wife Nancie. Bob (HYPR) is out on a tuna boat floating around somewhere a few hundred miles off the mexican coastline looking for cows.

Tony, it sounds like we'll be having more cars this year. Do you know if we'll have back to back parking or is the fire dept going to eliminate the back row for a fire lane again? Mac

Well, I'm all washed up, gassed up and ready to go (other than strapping on the boards), but Kelly is having some issues now with his 56, hopefully it will still make it tomorrow afternoon.
