Very, very, freakin cool! Thanks for posting these along.
The whole racks of them on that Southern Pacific train is a killer pic. Wish it was much larger so I could scope more detail. They're clearly 1964-1966 models, can't tell which. I bet someone with a sharp eye for detail and the production records could probably guess it from some of the paint schemes. I see fleetsides, stepsides, panels, Carry-Alls, and Suburbans! Yeah!
The car carrier pic is really something, too. The tractor itself has got to be a 1962 model like the vehicles it is transporting, due to the wraparound windshield but flat hood. Would love to have it, the fleetsides, the Impala, and of course the Corvette.
The little car in the back of the 1 ton - a Crosley? Nice tie-down, a rope is fine. Looks like a semi-dedicated hauler rig, that ramp sticking out the back has a trailer ball on it so it's not just something they threw in there real quick. Almost looks like they fashioned some kind of bumper extensions and utilized the original tailgate.
Wheelie machine on the back of a dually doing a wheelie, priceless!
And finally, I'm guessing the Moon Equip. truck at the races is a 1961, due to that really unusual "rear spear" side trim that only seemed to come on a few of them. Gotta love the lake pipes adapted to be stacks. Or not.
