I want to polish some stainless and I can't decide on a 1/2 hp or 3/4 hp. Any recommendations?

Thanks,
Larry

i'm using the 1/2 hp outfit from eastwood. works good, may could do it faster with more hp,but the if it grabs, there can also be more damage.

I'm using a 3/4 horse with 3600 RPMs. Works great.

3/4 hp, 3600 rpm, 8" buffing wheels.

Anything less and you'll either not get what you want, or it will take a long time.

I thought it depended on how far you wanted it to throw the tangled piece of stainless after it rips it out of your hands.

That was pretty funny Acardon!

As previously mentioned 3/4" 3600 rpm ONLY!

Anything less will be a severe disappointment and BEWARE of the Chinese motors.

They run for 15-20 minutes fine and after that the thermal overload will kick out as you bear down on that super, shiney stainless......

Where's Baldor when you need them???
