What do you guys put on your weatherstrip to keep it slippery for your glass to glide by when you roll the windows up and down? I live in a really arid dry climate and armorall tends to dry and crack any kind of weatherstrip so I wont use it. I need better solutions.

Your local GM dealer sells some great stuff. It's in a small bottle with applicator under lid. (emulsion for weatherstrips)

Your local drug store also sells something. It's called "Vaseline" and it comes in small yellow plastic containers. A small amount rubbed in works well.

I think the part that the glass slides by is called window felt. The glass butts up to the weatherstrip. If your felts are down to hard rubber you might try to find some new ones.

I've always used Meguier's vinyl / leather conditioner and that has worked fine. You don't need much.

Thanks for all the responses, I think I'll try the Meguiers stuff and let you know how it goes.
Cheers
