need some input.shops around where i live are replacing the fuel pump only inside the pump module(on chevys). i bought a acd1002 fuelpump replacement kit off ebay that contains the pump, clear flex tube and strainer. comes in acdelco box and pump has acdelco and bgv00252 stamped on it as a part or man# i guess. has anyone ever done this or bought from a company called global automotive in florida. its going in my sons tahoe and must not give problems. this kit cost 50.00 and the whole assembly cost 300.00. any input will help, wont to change it tomorrow....mike

I was unaware they were sold that way, all parts stores in this town sell complete assembly's for 5 times the amount.

I would use that product, any decent mechanic should be able to replace that for you. The instruction link is very good also.

you cant just walk in the parts house and ask for a pump for an tahoe or you will get the whole module. people have learned what pumps will enterchange with about the same pressure and doing it that way. saving about 200.00. i just have never done it and was wondering if any of you guys had and what was the outcome.more or less getting a second opinion. the pump you replace it with is a high pressure pump....around 105 psi. my cousin works at orielly and he says shops all over anderson are doing it with great results.as far as the install i started out as a mechanic 33 years ago so the swap should be no problem for me. just hate doing the same job twice....mike
