Newbie in every since of the word! While I take pride in being able to do my own work, I have never, EVER attempted something of this magnitude! Been flipping through the threads and have seen a lot of great builds, tips, tricks and ideas! I look forward to sharing my progress on what has been my dream since I was 16 years old!
I found this '72 C-10 sitting in a front yard by my FIL's house. It sat there for a year before I finally stopped to look and inquire. Structurally it is in good shape. The bed is rusting on the inside but haven't really found too much else that way. I know once I start into it, I am sure to find more. The motor is strong and the tranny doesn't slip. A/C doesn't work currently but PS and PB are all functional. This is going to be my daily driver not a show car, but I plan on putting all my skill and pride into it and completing as much of the work as I can.
I'll add pics as soon as I figure that part out! :-)

Welcome to Chevy Talk from West Michigan!
The truck sounds like a good one to start on as it sounds pretty complete. It should make you a good daily driver.
Pictures would be nice.

... From your description... you could be describing my daily drivers
Can't wait for the pics, to see what could be so bad with that description of a most functional vehicle!
