I have partial pictures of my family car when I was less than a year old. i am now 59. I need someone to look at these pictures and help me identify year and model of my chevy. It looks like a styleline.I would love to purchase this car once I have identified it.

I had sentimentalguy email me the photos...this is what he wrote in his email; the photos follow. A neat bunch of photos!
"Thank you for agreeing to help me with identifying the chevy in the photos. I am the baby and the two year old in the photos. I was born in July of 1953.I noticed there are no back up lights on the car. A car very similar I found for sale had back up lights. I thought it might be a 1952 Fleetline or Styleline. The car was a light beige or yellow with a black top."

It's definitely a 2 dr. HT and it appears to have flipper bars at the top of the door window. That would make it a 52 and not a 51. Also appears to have teeth in the grill unless I'm imagining things from the side angle.

Are those teeth or are we seeing the right bumper guard from drivers side position?
Second look with my "better eye" says those are teeth which = 1952.
Now can anyone read the serial number on the a pillar?

Grill teeth and front fender trim definitely would make it a '52.

That is a 52 BelAir Hardtop, if it would have been a 51 the front fender molding would have had a wide spot with a badge printed on it. Can't be a 50 or a 53, those tail lights were only used in 51 & 52.

Whiskey, I thought you were replying to 53Belair's statement about the teeth, not saying it was a 53.

I can only speak for myself here ..... knowing these ole Chevys is just fun, easy to remember ( some of the time).. but just ask me what I ate for breakfast and I'll give you the blankest look you've ever seen. (The lights are on, but no one is home)

Ah yes, one of our younger members. You'll be the one selected to drive the bus for the retirement home, while we sit and read our service manuals to one another.
