Does anyone make a cast aluminum valve cover for the 54 and later 235 heads with 4 bolt hold downs? All I seem to find are the Offy and Waynes type with the early style 2 center bolt retention which require an adapter to run on the later head.

I couldn't find one either so I went with chrome valve and push rod covers from Patrick's.

Yeah, I've got the chrome ones on mine too, Mike. But they're that cheap across-the-pond plating. Got mine when I bought the 235's & Fenton headers. Came as a package deal. Hoping I could find the other type though.

I believe you can use the earlier 2 bolt covers on the the later engines as the Offenhauser cast aluminum cover comes with the studs required to convert the later head to the two bolt configuration. Check this link: http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Offenhauser-1937-62-...

Yeah, I'm aware of those but I don't want the 2 bolt look. I want a cast cover with 4 bolt retention.

I looked for the same thing but struck out. Good luck hunting for yours and please let me know if you find something.

Will do Mike. I'll be attending the NSRA Northern Nationals in Kalamazoo in Sep so maybe someone there will have some ideas or covers.

IF you end up caving in and going the 2 bolt Offy route, I am very please with mine on the 235. Fit and finish is great and I get a lot of compliments on it.
Just and FYI
