Hi Everyone,

I have a 1964 Impala and have fitted a GM ZZ502 engine. This requires me to fit 1/2 inch fuel lines.

Does any one have any recomendations as to where to run the 1/2 inch braided fuel line and remote fuel filter ??

Also as I will be using -AN fittings I assume I will need to weld a 1/2inch fitting onto the existing fuel tank. If anyone has any pictures of this done then please let me know

Thanks in advance

Byron

Hi Byron , you can run the fuel line pretty much in the stock location , be easier to go through the drive shaft tunnel like the factory did with the 3/8 fuel line, i'd probably do most of it in stainless hard line and then get some 3/4 JIC weld fittings from an engineering shop and get someone to weld them onto the hardline , then the -8AN(1/2") hose fittings will screw straight on to them ,, i welded a plate on the crossmember just behind the rear shock to mount an electric fuelpump on my 61 , you could probably put a filter there instead , and remember for LVV cert. clips every 300mm , Larry

.5" is AN8. I used this through my Xframe tunnel wihout a problem. I run from a fuel cell in the trunk but, no difference with a tank. Hard lines are difficult to snake through the tunnel.
