I have a 1974 monte carlo with a 350/350 turbo, and my buddy has a mitsubishi eclips with a 2.0 5 speed manual, who will win ?

Depends on who is not scared to run their engine into the RED LINE rpms range. Each has an advantage and disadvantage. With lower gearing, the Monte should win.

If it's one of the turbocharged Eclipses, you might be in for trouble, especially if he's AWD. He'll kill you out of the hole and you'd have to play catch-up.
If it's a n/a 4 banger, they're all FWD, and you should clean his clock.
