62 Impala with 7/16 x 20 factory wheel studs. I need to install longer studs. Are these pressed in? Can I install a lug nut and drive out old studs with a brass hammer? Can these be purchased @ NAPA? Thanks---Lee

Skip the brass, use a plain old BFH.

What about pressing the new ones on? Is a hammer OK, or does it need to be a press?

Insert stud, put stud nut on backwards, tighten till the stud pulls all the way through and is seated, and you are done.
Never argue with an idiot. He'll drag you down to his level, then beat you with experience.

I just used a spacer (old socket) stuck the lug nut on and tightened till it pulled in.
