Well my heads are to the poin to were they need a rebuild. Truck blows smoke on start-up. Motor has only 6 or 7k on it. But the heads have over 170k on them. Question is, if i could find some 350 heads for cheap would it be worth it throwing them on there? Would there be any gain? Or What else kinda heads could i throw on it to make it breath better without breaking the bank. I'm looking to spend around $150. Cause i think that's how much it'll cost to have the machine re-do my heads.

it would be worth putting "any" small-block Chev heads on there that will fit dude, "if" you get them for $150 (unlikely, in good shape), and "if" they are a lot better than your "heads that smoke at start-up" common sense.

It is unlikely that you will be able to have your heads rebuilt for $150. More than likely it will be much more. Just putting in new guides will be more than that.

You will have to be careful with the size of the valves in the 350 heads. If they are too large, they will cause shrouding against the cylinder wall, reducing the flow even more than the flow of those stock 305 heads.

350 heads have larger combustion chambers, thereby lowering compression. i would get the block to gowith the heads and have a 350.
