does anyone knoe if the gear shift assy from a 50 chev will fit on a 54 chev its the assy from the colum to the trany thanks

It should fit. The only difference might be the levers that hold the shift rods on the transmission.

Ditto what Ed says. I put what I think was a '51 shifter and shift-column (not steering column) on my '53.
1953 210 Convertible, 261 with dual Carter YF 966S carbs, P.S., Remote Bendix P.B. Booster... shade-tree restoration about done.
