Ive seen a few trucks running around with grab handles on them between the front door and rear quarter window on lifted trucks all chevys and this body style.

They where all the same but I never had a chance to ask where they where from but im looking for some sturdy grab handles to mount driver and passenger side. My wife gets in by using the steering wheel to pull up. It freaks me out something might get broke much rather drill and mount if I have to for something more sturdy.

I know some good ones are out there as a 2500 I looked at buying a couple months ago had some and I hung off the side of the truck with them yanking to see if they budged and they held fast.

Any ideas.

So what one would yall choose? found both sets at a good price at JC whitney cheapest place I can find them.

I like the look of these allot. I wont use the self tapping screws though I will go in from the back and bolt them for a little more secure fit though.

These look like the ones I see ill bolt them as well. Ill bolt them as well dont like the idea of screws.

If the area where you wish to mount the handles is boxed or hard to access jack-nuts, well-nuts, and splined rivet nuts work well. The rivet nuts are the strongest; and if You are only installing a few require no special tool. A long bolt with a nut and 2 wrenches. McMaster-Carr list them in lots of sizes. I have purchased them from both Chrysler and GM dealers as well. Get stainless steel handles vs chrome; all chrome stuff will be from China and will rust quickly. Big truck shops and marine dealers usually carry S/steel. A 20-30 year old set off a junked boat would be better quality than any chrome ones. I have see many lifted trucks with sloppy play in steering column from people using them to pull themselves up & in. Fords seem to be the worst with GM's next
