My 1926 Model T has 3 pedals, The pedal on the right is when you want to engage reverse, the middle pedal is the brake, and the pedal on the left is low gear / high gear. There are 2 levers on the steering column, the lever on the left is the spark advance / retard, and the lever on the right is the accelerator. You're constantly stepping on pedals and moving the levers, so there's really no sense in adjusting the radio that doesn't exist. You work the windshield wiper with your right hand & your left hand is your turn signal.
I was cruising around in my '65 this afternoon, It was a perfect day for a drive - sunny and 90 & traffic was remarkably light. Because it was a warm day I kept my eye on the temp gauge, I made sure the hot smells weren't too hot & smelly, the scent of oil wasn't overbearing, and there wasn't any steam or coolant in the air.
My HHR talks to me... I can tell her to make phone calls for me, get directions to where I'm going, make dinner reservations, and chose from something like 200 radio stations.
Personally, I think using both my hands & feet, watching the gauges & smelling the intensity of oil is way more fun than having a talking car. Even though she has a sexy voice, driving my new car is boring.

I have to agree . . . I had my factory radio repaired but never use it, since the sound of that 327 through dual pipes is how the car "talks" to me, and I like to listen.

I agree Greg, while I like the mileage of the HHR...I really prefer to drive the wagon, so much more fun listening to the comments of other drivers. Makes having the wagon out that much more fun! (although the gas mileage is half of the HHR)

My experience went the other way. My new daily driver, along with my wife's, are more fun to drive than my modded '66, which worked really well.
