Thank you in advanced for your help.
Last week I cracked the my soleniod on the relay side. So today i pulled the starter installed new soleniod and now nothing! I have the battery hooked up to the larger post the purple and pink (2 wires) hooked up to the "S" side and a wire from the "R" side to the HEI. I tried taking a screw driver to the 12v post on the soleniod to the "S" post but sparks fly like if it was a sparkler. soleniod wont engage car acts as if i was trying to start it in park.

I would put a socket on the crankshaft bolt and make sure it aint locked. may also want to take the plugs out and take a look. they may tell you something.

if you bypassed the electronics (by jumping the solenoid) then the solenoid is not the problem.
we are guessing you could hear it pop out and engage but not turn?
