It is common place to splice into the wire to the #30 terminal and run it to the #86 terminal to power the coil in the relay and control it with the #85 ground side (#85 & #86 are Interchangeable).

Does anyone make a copper blade to jump these two terminals that would slip between the relay and the relay connector body? I have seen something similar to this used to pigtail off of a glass fuse. This would eliminate a few splices and loops of wire.

Here is a diagram of the proposed part.

There is no reason you couldn't do that. I have never seen a jumper for that. You just might find a socket pre-wired that way, with a smaller guage wire already jumping the terminals.

I've never seen a jumper like that, and I would think the if it existed, Waytec would have it.
But, since all relays don't use a common power source, it would make swapping relays, on the road in an emergency, more difficult.
You don't need to splice, just crimp a small gauge wire in with the heavy gauge wire terminal. A short length of 20 or 22 gauge wire is all you need.

it would not seem profitable to manufacture it, to me anyways. there are all kinds of ways to wire such such a relay. mostly they plug into a board or socket. for your use it seems that you are plugging indivdual female spade connectors into the relay. it may be out there but i wouldnt bank on it.

Based on the orientation of the lock tabs on the terminals you have to jump to the #85 terminal to still be able to plug in the relay. I made one jumper blade out of thin brass sheet and it seems like it will work just fine. Since the other terminals have to be crimped anyway It’s quicker to just add the jumper wire loop. I can do that faster than I can cut and form the jumper blades. I think it is a cool idea though.

I had some crazy thought that these could be produced and sold in a catalog and make some money on them. I am sure it would take a sizable investment to make the dies to cut and form them, take them to market and in the end would anybody buy them? Likely not. Oh well, just another one of my failed backyard inventions.

Thank you all for your consideration.
