Hi Guys (and gals!)
I've got a '66 El Camino, factory 396 & 4spd (console), and am in the process of putting the jigsaw puzzle back to pieces having bought it incomplete.
It came with some front seats, which look to me like an Impala drivers seat, and a Pontiac firebird passenger side.
Can anyone tell me whether the Impala and El Camino seats are similar?
The seats with the rails fitted on them, don't line up with the floor mounts, and so I'm wondering whether I'm better off to find some El Camino seats, rather than try to make/find some seat rails to fit?
2nd question is, where am I best to look? I'm based in New Zealand (bottom of the world!) and so will have to import a pair as they're certainly not available down here.
I've seen the repro frames & rails on Opgi and Dii websites, and am curious as to whether they're as good as they seem!
I'll try and get some resonable photos to upload on here to id the seats I have.
Any ideas are appreciated and thanks for your time in advance!
