Ollie, that's not fair, you only get to vote once.

Ollie, I voted for a 58. But I like my 59 and 62. What did you vote for?

Hi Don,
Had to vote for the '58. I mean I am the TA for the VCCA for '58's - so I can't cheat on the 'ol girl.
But I did own a '61 once, and I just LOVE '62 Bel Airs - but that's not an Impala. Then I have this gorgeous '75 Caprice rag in the barn - but again - she is not an Impala...

I loved my '58, '60, and '62. In fact, I love all of them except '63-64 and '75-76. But I had to vote for the '65.

I know it'll sound biased, but it HAS to be '58 like I voted.
First year offering (sub-series of Bel Air), one year style, several introductory offerings like: (348,3X2 etc) 2nd year Posi's came in '57, and the ever popular triple tail lights which evolved to become the Impala icon. The '58 interior and dash arrangement still "gets me" every time.

Survey is CLOSED.
Results are interesting - considering this post was found in the 1958-1976 forums.
The winner is 1958
Second place is 1962
Third place is 1964
Tied for fourth is 1959/1963/1965
Fifth place is 1961
Sixth place is 1967
What really is sad is that 1971 only received one vote - and that in my opinion is one fine car - the most Cadillac in appearance (Caprice) and with the 454 - the ultimate turnpike cruiser.
The years which received no votes?
1970, 1972-1977
Okay Jens, we can breath easier.... the Swiffer Girls kept me honest and I did not take any payola to fudge the results.

Anyone notice the gradual end of the Harley Earl era (retired in '59) and the onset of 'corporate' (uninspired) styling?

But what position did 1960 take?It seems excluded from the results or am I missing something?
