This just doesn't look quite right to me, where the pump over ride sits on the diaphragm lever... what do you guys think?

Hi SS,
You are so correct! The arm appears to be bent.
That bolt head should be riding on top of the lever.
Don't forget .015" clearance at full throttle

Yep, TAT has the right idea. Just bend it back, then reset the screw for the correct gap.
How in the world did you bend it out like that?
While you had it apart, did you install the anti-blowout modification for the power valve?

Tom,
I just put everything back together as it was, and I ordered a couple of generic rebuild kits (The guy I talked to at Holley told me that they don't make kits for the 4150 LIST 3130 any more), and I think I'll order one of those power valve modifiers to put in when I use one of the rebuild kits (after the suregery on my right hand heals).
Thanks for the tips Guys,
Greg

Just get a ZIP Corvette catalog. All the parts for all Holleys and QJets and others are in there. I believe they sell complete kits.
I like to use the non-stick blue bowl gaskets that I get from Jegs/Summit or any other speed shop you may have around.
What did you do to your hand? Hope it's not serious (or your shift hand).

Thanks Tom,
Everything is running top-notch now, except for the thunk I just heard after leaving the gas station. Thank goodness it was a very strange thing... the radiator drain hose was cut in two and one of the heater hoses jumed out of the fender clamp & was rubbing on the fan. No loss of coolant, no real damage. Sometimes I'm grateful for the oil & temp gauges, oh yeah, and the right hand bus lane that runs through the town I live in where I can limp home.
As for my hand, it's no big deal... I've had the same surgery 3 times on my left hand. It's a condition known as "trigger finger" and the way my Dr. explained it to me, is that the tendons that control your fingers (the in & out of your fingers) runs over a pulley in your palm, and some of us need that pulley widened to accomodate the knot that's grown onto our tendon. The first sign is a click when you grip something or extend your finger, and then after a while you can't extend your finger at all. I could hold a wrench ok, but I couldn't give anyone the finger, lol

It's similar in that your finger curls up like you're making a fist, but I think trigger finger is much easier to fix... I looked up Dupuytren's Syndrome online, and the scar from surgery was huge... the incision in my hand is about 3/4" per finger, just below the base of each finger. My surgery was 8 days ago and the pain is minimal & I can almost straighten out my finger now

Hey Greg!
Glad everything went well with the surgery, and I wish you a speedy recovery!
Also, when you get to turning wrenches on that 66 (or anything else you happen to be working on) in the garage, feel free to give me a call if you ever need a hand with anything! Seriously, I would be happy to help!
