If you have that much room you should be able to get a wedge box designed for trucks like this:

If that link doesn't work, just google "truck sub box" and start picking a price range.

You should have room back there for 2 subs and an amp in between.

I have an idea for a box so I could get about an inch more of clearance but what I'm wondering is if a regular sub can fit? Cuz I don't really like shallows. I've seen subs with about 6 inches mounting depth but plus the width if the box would it still fit?

The box in the link I posted is 8.5" deep. Shouldn't have an issues with internal volume or driver clearance.

I pointed you to a sub box because just about any sub will drop in. They are fairly standardized for volumetric requirements and you can fit two sealed enclosure 10" subs in your space plus an amp to drive them. I have used several including JBL, Rockford Fosgate, etc...As long as you get a quality driver designed for about a cubic foot of sealed volume you should be ok.

Yes, it will.
