Having trouble finding the correct chrome rear bumper for 66 Chevy Panel, any one know where to procure one. Looks like I could interchange the front and rear but would have to drill out some holes , not the look I am going for, maybe Carlisle coming up.

Your stock rear bumper is the same as the fleetside rear bumper. Over time people replaced them when damaged, and since most people didn't buy rear bumpers there weren't many rear bumpers to choose from - so most people adapted front bumpers to the rear of panel trucks as replacements for damaged rear bumpers.

Tne Panel & Suburban rear bumpers don't have the center-drop, to make way for the license plate bracket, so they are not the same as the fleetside pickup sport-style rear bumpers. The Panel & Suburban rear bumpers are not being reproduced, so, I believe, the only option is a good, used one.

as far as I know, the front bumper is the same blank as the suburban rear, with the exception of the mounting holes. I never knew the panel bumpers had the drop center, but I can't remember seeing one, I would have thought they were the same as the suburban. A true suburban rear bumper will have flat indents where the front would have holes punched there. They then have holes where the all the rears have them. Also, the 63 up have a slightly different measurement between frame rails, so they are not interchangable without modifying. I can't imagine very many panels had chrome bumpers, but many suburbans did. If you find a true rear suburban chrome bumper....get it, they are not common. I recently found one, and you can bet I picked it up, aware of the rarity.

Indeed...as the license plate goes on the door.
