Does anyone know off the top of their head what the bolt length is for the two front motor mounts on my '50 with 235? I know they are 7/16" by 20 tpi. The top ones look like they should be short (~1"?) Are the bottoms the same length? Also, should they be grade 8 or would grade 5 be OK?

My local h/w store has NO 7/16" grade 8 bolts. :-(

Thanks folks.

I believe they are 3/4 inch from bottom of head to end of bolt. Can't confirm totally, but they were in my bag labelled motormounts, I threw the bad mounts away last weekend but had spare bolts from my 50, Some one else may need to confirm for sure... Don't know about the grade, Bill

Thank you Bill! Were there any markings at all on the heads of the bolts?

Here are photos of the tops of mine. I would guess that they are a high strength steel of some sort.

Thanks for posting the photos. Those are the bolts I'm looking for. BTW - if those are stainless, they are grade 5.
