If I have removed my TH400 from my small block 400 and the torque converter was still attached to the flex plate is there any damage that can occur and if so wut could have been damaged?

    In response to 87 Chevota

its very easy to damage the pump removing the trans without upbolting the convertor. If you slid it striaght back before you let it down, your most likely ok. If you let it down before the input shaft cleared the convertor, you may have some serious damage,,Mark
