All you need is a different size belt. Run from the alternator around the water pump to crank pulley.

I have an s-10 4.3 non air. It has a big pully where the AC is normally located. You might find one in a junk yard.It uses the same bolts as the compressor.
89 Chevy 1500 short bed 305 5 speed. Black
