anyone know why a 05 5.3 will not work in my 01 tahoe 5.3, interchange manual says it wont work. the 05 is a silverado/tahoe engine.
dont give up, help is on the way

'03 and newer trucks had the "drive by wire" electronic throttle control. The '99 to '02 trucks had the cable operated throttle control.

So if you keep your computer and bolt on your cable actuated throttle body, it should work.

Yes, As far as I could determine. I googled "LS motor swap" and came up with this info. These motors are piling up in the scrap yards. Many are putting the Edelbrock intakes and 750 Hollys on them. Putting them in anything with wheels.
