So the rear end has been making some pretty disturbing noises from the pinion area of the rear diff. I haven't decided If I want to just replace the bearings on the pinion or do a new gear set and replace everything.

I've been looking at the yukon kits. Specifically this one.

Where do you guys buy your parts from? My local guys can get the bearings separately but no crush collar.

You can pull the pinion on a 14 bolt FF axle without doing major surgery. It requires that you unbolt the 5 bolts holding it into the front of the housing, but that is it. You can then decide what is causing the noise, and whether you want to go with replacing the entire gear set.

If you are going to replace the gears then replace everything. It is not wise to replace a gear set without replacing the bearings.

Randy's Ring and Pinion sell Yukon gears and associated parts. They can sell you everything you will need to replace the gear set.
