salutations to all, my 1st post on this board,

a standard "left in garage for x number of years" story

It has a 406 sbc, a/t, a mild testarossa style body kit, and years and years and years of dust, dirt, and other garage detritus ... occasionally used as a shelf ... so on and so forth

Motor was swapped about 10-15 years ago. The heads say "RHS Motorsports" and the intake is stamped "ACCEL 1000CFM". I don't know if trans is stock or was swapped. Previous owner bought it used, drove for awhile then did engine swap, drove for awhile, then started on body kit and just never finished, so right now the body work is halfway apart / halfway together, and it has all been sitting for many years ... at least 5 and possibly or probably 10 ... so it is UNDRIVABLE , at the moment ... right ??

It is complete, however! Tires / rims are unused, still have stickers on tread and hold air.

And she started on the second crank and she is LOUD

Sooo what do I do now ??

Trailer it to a trusted local shop? Or maybe work on it a little bit while in storage? I don't have space for it at home, currently ... at the moment ...

Is it worth it to change ALL the fluids myself ?? Or, since they probably all need done, take it straight to a mechanic. How much should the whole enchilada cost at a fair & reputable mechanic ??

I will update this post w/ more info as I know more about the car. I took a few cellphone pictures; I should have some real photos soon to upload.

I WOULD TRY & REMOVE AS MUCH OF THE OLD GAS AS POSSIBLE,CHANGE THE GAS FILTER,CHANGE THE ANTIFREEZE,OIL & FILTER,CHECK THE CONDITION OF THE BRAKE FLUID,CHECK THE CALIPERS ETC,JUST THE NORMAL STUFF FOR NOW.EXAMPLE, THE CONDITION OF THE HOSES ETC.
IS IT A 700R4 AUTO OR THAT 4+3 STICK ?
THE DASH STILL WORKING ?
GET THEM PICS UP & HERES THE WAVE

1 OTHER THING,BE SURE TO GET IT TAGED & "INSURED"

IVE BEEN CHECKEN AROUND & HAGARTY SEEMS TO HAVE THE BEST RATES SO FAR,COUPLE HUNDRED PER YEAR.
DONT LOOSE EVERYTHING YOU OWN DRIVEN A UNINSURED VEHICLE

right eye abrasion taking out my contact lenses yesterday. ouch. can see much more clearly now after sleeping; will take pics once vision is closer to 20/20

I dont think the trans could be the 4+3 because the engine is not oem. the dash lit when he started it, tach moved when he revved it.

SORRY BOUT YOUR EYE,HOPE IT FEELS BETTER.
THE 4+3 WOULD BE A STICK SHIFT.
THE TRANS COULD BE IDENIFIED BY LOOKING AT THE PAN.
BTW,NO CROSSMEMBER,TRANS & REAR TIED IN WITH A L BEAM
GLAD THE DASH IS WORKING SO U CAN KEEP A EYE ON THE DIGITAL READ OUTS.COLD SOLDER USUALLY GOES BAD,YA LOOSE THE GROUND,DASH GOES NUTS OR DONT WORK AT ALL
