I have acquired a 454 that has been bored .030 and looking to rebuild.
With it being bored .030, what is the cubic inch now?
What is the formula for figuring this?
Also I have a 327 SBC that has been bored .040. What now is the c.i.?
Thanks.

bore X bore X .7854 X stroke X number of cylinders

.030 454 with a stock crank is going to be a 461. The 327 will be a 333.

displacement formula
bore x bore x stroke x number of cylinders x .7854=displacement
in your case its
4.25 +.030 or 4.280"
so
4.280 x 4.280 x 4" x8 x .7854=460.4 cubic inches

that is the formula that most all racing assoc. use
