Since I messed up the first carpet set I bought for my '65, I looked online for a replacement for my replacement carpet. The nice thing about this set, was that it was made-to-order, so the forming to the floorpan was fresh and the carpet laid in the floorpan nicely, right out of the box.
Like Leon Phelps suggested, I let the carpet sit in the car on a warm day, all day, and the new carpet took shape nice & quick.

I got this set on ebay, and the seller couldn't have been more helpful - newenglandmustang Don't let the Ford-Like name worry you ;), if you need new capet, check them out.

Link to a good place to get carpet

Oh Yeah, and the carpet set is Licensed under the GM Restoration Parts, seal of approval... I'm sure that helped a spaz like me with the installation, lol

Greg,

I haven't heard that term used in more that just a few years!!

And glad to hear your install went smoothly without any spasmatic episodes.

You car has turned out beautiful!!! How about some interior shots now??

Just ordered another new carpet yesterday, this time from CI, that is molded, and for a 4spd.. I hope it works better than the last, non molded, 2 piece set we ordered... It should be here Wednesday, and I'll post some pics...

I found a member here with a carpet set from ACC with padding and matching mats that he never installed before selling his car. I am so anxious to get this set from him so I can start tearing down the interior and getting it spruced up.

My first set got butchered, too...

I ordered a new set, application correct for my 4 spd, that should be here tomorrow.... molded, as well...

Fingers crossed, and I'll take pics.... It's coming from Classic Industries, this time.....

Best,

Steve
