If I'm correct, 1156s are the brake light / tail light bulbs & 1157s are the turn signal bulbs, right? And what about the front turn signal bulbs... those are 1157s, right?
I'm thinking about going Nick's route of replacing his bulbs with LEDs, because I know the tail lights on my '65 are naturally hard to see when they're lit up
I just picked up some LED tail lights for my car. With these type, they replace the bulbs only, so I can keep my nice blue dot lenses, and besides being much brighter when lit, no one will know they are in there.

Greg,
the ones I got were pretty cheap on ebay and are a direct fit for the 1157 ones on the car. The front marker ones are 1157 also. I believe the backup lights are the only 1156 ones, or at least that is all that were on my car.
if you want a night time photo, let me know.

Heck yeah, I'd love to see a night time photo, it's been raining so hard in Seattle today, I have to live vicariously through others taking their cars outside.
