I started an unexpected project, an 84 Z28. The passenger door panel has some mice damage, so I need to replace the material. I have already found the material and ordered it. Our upholstery shops are 8-9 weeks out on replacing it. Am I crazy to consider doing it myself? The sewing part is my challenge.

It's what you learn after you already know it all that counts.

Unless you have a heavy duty upholstery sewing machine, you won't be able to do it.

Hello;
Grandma's Singer can't handle that. As stated earlier you need an industrial upholstery sewing machine, no if's, and's, or but's!
