I have a Holley7456 on my 72 chevy pu w/350sb. On sharp acceleration we have a stumble but ease up to about 1,000 rpm's and then hit it and all is well. Any suggestion's.

Welcome to Chevy Talk from West Michigan!

I would suggest that you first make sure the timing, vacuum advance, and mechanical advance is working as they should. I like 10-12 BTDC initial setting with 34-36 degrees total advance in by 2800 rpm. Also, hook the vacuum advance to the manifold vacuum side so that the vacuum is activated at idle speeds.

On the carburetor make sure the accelerator pump linkage is adjusted and that the squirters produce a good spray with the engine turned off so that you can see what happens when the pedal is activated.

Good luck!

Jim

PS: Pictures of your truck would be nice.

I checked out your suggestion's and found that the squirter's are not spraying as they should.Could this be linkage or dirty? I thought I had cleaned the carb thouroghly but must not have.
Thanks,allen.alvin

I would check the adjustment of the linkage first.
