Hello, got my wiring harness from Donny. Trying to replace it in my steering column.
I have everything together and seem to be off.
I see the tang on the dash side. It should go in the hole in the column, or I think it should.
If I put it in the way it is now, the turn signal would be on the opposite side.
I am sure this is simple or I am missing something.
Thanks

Hmmm, Yes Leon, I just put mine in and the tang in the dash lines up directly with indent in the column to lock it in place and keep it from rotating. Is is possible that you have your switch assembly and upper collar 180 degrees out?

cant be 180 out, it has a twist lock in it. The collar twists then locks into place. If it is not locked, the turn signal arm will not go through collar. The lower part of the collar is fixed to the center and it attaches to the inside in one place, some twist but not close to 180 degrees.

figured it out. there are three slots in the top collar that only two are used to slide into the tube.
Next I got to fix my super duper american autowire harness that didnt have the correct connector on it.
one of those days.
Still no horn.
we wait til night time to get the voltmeter out and see if anything else works/does not work.
