i have to put another motor in "Nadine" and while pulling it I pulled the iron PG. I want to put a 700R4 in behind a 350....any help on possible needed surgery or crossmembers or any thing else that may come up would be a great help.

Yeah, there's an installation How-To in the latest magazine for 700r4 and 200r trans.

I used the Eckler kit; easy stuff. I did have to shorten the driveshaft though.

Hello;
If I had it to do again, I would make sure that I have enough room between the engine and firewall for one of those HEI Dizzys!

Hello;
Small Cap Dizzy will fit but in order to put the large cap in you have to move the motor up about an inch or so.
Offbeat thought: I saw, not too long ago on "Trucks" where they had a nice old pick up and they did the six over with a hop up mods (don't know what) and bolted a 700r4 behind the six! That truck was lookin like it wasn't having a problem keeping up on the highway and in town you just put the trans in "3" and you should have plenty of shift to keep up just fine.
To me, that was a pretty good combo between the six and the 4 speed overdrive!
Remember to ad that all important corvette servo for that 4th speed shift which allows you to shift manually without having to let off the gas!

the 700 was actually designated to go in my 53 behind a 235 and a Buffalo trans adapter.....then the rod in the 58 and easier to pull the PG with the 283...... Good news is 53 wagon now gets Muncie and 327.

I have a 350 with a 200 4r in my '59. I think I was able the leave the yoke the same with the 200 (?)
HEI fit no problem. I made a very simple cross member with some square tubing & angle iron. Bolted the angle to the frame, bolted the square tubing to the angle iron. Looks cleaner than the factory set up & works perfect.
