I'm considering replacing my L98 aluminum heads with these Heads . The motor is a stock ZZ3 with 2.5" rams horn ex. manifolds.

I think the Fast Burn heads were used in the ZZ430 in addition to a different cam. I'm not aware of any other changes between the ZZ3 and the ZZ430, but correct me if that's not right.

Will this be a seat of the pants difference without any other changes like a different cam? I keep reading that the L98 heads are very restrictive. I'm just not sure if it's worth changing them if I'm not prepared to do the cam at the same time.

Take it with a grain of salt given the source, but have a look at this: http://www.trickflow.com/articles/dynoduel/23_ degr...

I ran Trick Flow heads on my Fords and loved them. I say go for it.

Upgrade the push rods too!! The stock ZZ4 push rods will bend at high RPMs. Factory RPMs are recommened at no more than 5600 or 5800 RPMs. ZZ4s can make more power with bigger valved heads and cam. Yea, valves are really small. I've considered changing the ZZ4 heads on my truck. I'm curious on what you choose and how they run.

I agree. Go with a good aftermarket head. Trick Flows will out-perform the Fastburn heads.
