Does anyone know if Sir Michael's is still in business?
I did a search for a dealer and found their corp website. It said something about reorganizing but when I called the number listed I got a recording saying I'd reached a number no longer in service. Another search by part specific failed to turn up results for what I'm looking for.
I'm looking into getting a smooth cowl for my truck project and they made one out of fiberglass that I've heard was of good quality. There are urethane ones on the market but urethane can get w~a~v~y. Any ideas?
They have been around a long while. I hope they are not a casualty of the economy.

I haven't talked with them in probably a couple years, so I don't know. If they are gone, they wouldn't necessarily be a casualty of the economy, but just that there's so much cheap junk out there that people would buy instead.
SM has/had some truly high quality products, but not everyone wants to spend the money to have the good stuff when the chinese junk is 1/3 the price.

Had a chance to do some poking around on the web, sure looks like they had high hopes for 2011 but may not have materialized. If they're truly gone it's a damn shame; they made excellent products and prided themselves on made in USA out of USA steel. Best roll pans out there.

I did some more searching and I fear they are gone for good. Truckshop.com has an inventory clearance sale on their remaining Sir Michael manufactured inventory. Sir Michael closeout sale
"After more than three decades producing high-quality steel parts, Sir Michaels has closed up shop and we are clearing out the last of their inventory. When it's gone, it's gone! Add a Sir Michaels accessory to your truck and let the legend live on!"
No smooth cowls but they do have some other stuff, including roll pans for 92-99 Chevy/GMC SUV, for our trucks. Get it while you can.
One thing I don't like about LMC is that they very rarely name a brand and most of their stuff is china sourced.

But isn't that the norm for everything everywhere nowadays?

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if every other alternative to SM's steel pans would be china-made. There's probably only a couple of makers of them, just a lot of different brand names and boxes.
