Finally getting back to the A/C on my truck. I dropped off the compressor for new seals. I did install the R134 condensor last year. We'll do a good flush and vacuum. I can't wait to drive it more. It may be a daily driver while I do major a-arm bushing on my Jimmy. Right now, I'm driving around with a bypass pulley. I'll snap pictures.

Yoooo G,
Look at the orifice tube.... the "tangs" face the fitting - so the extractor tool can engage.

Orfice tube goes in short side in. There is an arrow pointing flow direction.
With city driving, <45 MPH, it's blowing down to 60 degrees!! Not bad for days with temperatures between 95 and 100!! I bet on the highway, it will get down even more. I do notice a slight cooling delay. Mostly when the electrical fans are off cause the engine is cold. Once the engine reaches operating temps, the fans run at stops, slow speed, or idle. Fans have a switch to turn on at 205 and off at 190. Now, I have to find a way to seal the gap between the condensor and radiator. Better airflow through the condensor will increase cooling efficiency.
Now if only fuel prices would drop about $1 so I could drive it every day.

Congrats on the cold air. I hope to enjoy some in mine soon. G, did you do a write-up on your fans when you put them in?

I did, but Yahoo ditched Geocities and all my info. I do have pictures of the LS1 Camaro fan install. Basically, I just wired them into the harness from the previous dual fan setup. I need a complete new site to load up all I have available. Including the 88-91 front end conversion. I only took pictures of the ram air setup.
I'm going to run the LS1 setup like this for a while. I have Mark VIII fan sitting in the garage. If temps over 100 become a cooling problem, I may install it. I can run low speed with the A/C compressor. High speed with the head temperature probe.
I will need a fan shroud to complete an install. Here are instructions I would follow: http://www.off-road.com/trucks-4x4/project/pr oject...

Thanks G. I haven't decided yet on the e-fans, I might find out I have to run them. Not that I'd mind. I am looking forward to AC tho, I haven't had a square with air since 1990.
