I am installing a 63 amp alternator, up from a 33 amp. Do I need a heavier wire then stock? Its a 3 wire alternator.

Current wire in question is 10 guage.

Maybe I should ask this in AAW forum since its a AAW alternator wire harness I have.

Ten gauge will carry up to 100 amps without any problem. The stock wire was 12 gauge. I think AAW upgrades all their wires.

Thats great service.
