What do you think about THIS engine? Any experiences of this engine builder?

Brand X heads and intake, but if they stand behind it, the price isn't too bad. I've heard the name Skip White, but I don't have any opinions to give.

I'd speculate that all the parts are except for any used cores.

Skip White stuff is price leader stuff, not quality leader stuff.

If "PC" heads mean ProComp heads, run away as fast as you can!

Should say Made in China with a few American parts. If he is such a good engine builder, why did he have to have Mellings pick a pump for him? Pro Comp heads=junk jmo

IMO, Skip White = Skip Hype.

Runaway, runaway!

A quote from his ad:

We don't have anything against knockoff products, if they meet our standards, and offer a good value. We think it is great that many of the name brand companies are getting their just reward for what we consider nothing short of offering over priced goods.

In other words why buy made in America products when Chinese knockoffs look the same? Especially when you can do a much bigger mark-up on the knock-off stuff. What a jerk!

Buy an engine from Edelbrock, Summit Racing, or GM Performance Parts, or even BadAssEngines.

You'll spend more, but won't have to worry about porous head castings or roller rocker pins deciding to go their own way.

Another good place to buy a crate engine is American Speed in Moline, Illinois.

Which pump did he use? I can't bear to read any more of his hype.

IMO, the new standard is the Melling Select series, like a 10552. If he's using an old M55 series, well those aren't as beefy as they used to be.
