I have a 60 chev truck with 1/2 ton front, and 1 ton rear. Am I going to have issues with front disc coversion? Got to thinking about the proportioning valve and booster and got con-fussed! I have never done this before and any advice would be great.

So what was it originally 1/2 or 3/4 ton?
Do you have the torsion bar front suspension?

I did some searching and you have the torsion bar front suspension. The easiest conversion is to replace the front cross member with a 71 to 86 cross member. Here is a link that shows what is done;

Here is another link that involves a torsion bar cross member swap on a C20 should be about the same as yours.

There's not a lot of information that can't be found doing a search, with some practice.

It is LIKELY that you have a 1/2 ton truck, but it could also be a 3/4 ton or 1 ton truck. You would have to post the VIN number to be sure, because we can decode what truck you have from that.
There are front disk brake kits available for your torsion bar front end. You wouldn't have to change the suspension to get disk brakes if you go that route. It may require that you drill extra holes in the firewall to mount a disk brake master cylinder, and to mount a separate master cylinder for the clutch (if you have a manual trans).

Classic Performance Products usually has sales during holidays - including today, until 11:59 pm - where they reduce their parts by 10 percent (except certain parts, so you should check before ordering), so you might want to order your disk brake kit during a holiday.
