Hi guys, I have a 02 Suburban that has developed a transmission problem while I was driving on the Highway the other day.
It was stuck in 3rd and not going into 4th.
Now when I take off from the lights it stays in first until I reach 20mph and jumps straight into 3rd. Its Not changing into 2nd.
The trans fluid was low and has been topped up but made no difference.
Anyone have any ideas?

Sounds like the shift solenoids may be bad.

Yes Sir,
You can just about bet that you have a broken band. It's gotta come down out of there.
