The only trouble encountered with the wagon, lost an outside front wheel bearing just north of Nashville, TN. Managed to limp on the shoulder of the highway for about 2 miles, and take the first exit to a "front end specialty shop" who when told of where I was trying to get to and where I was from...told me they didn't have the time to help me, but there was an O'Rielly's down the street. Spent 3 hours there having the rotor turned, and putting it back together.
Only other problem, stuck in 5 mph traffic on I35 south (94 miles from Texas according to the sign), car shut down from being rich at idle (I idled for about 1-2 miles)...waited for cool down of engine and cranked the engine back up, by this time traffic was moving faster (up to 15 mph, it's faster) it didn't stall.
Mileage on open road, both going there and returning home was 13.5 to 14.5. Mileage during the tour, 12 to 13 except when stuck in traffic during some of the venues 10 to 11.
3700 miles later, very satisfied with the way the wagon performed. Met a lot of nice people (sorry I missed you Jim) and saw a lot of great cars.
The picture was while in Miami, OK (just drove up next to the bus, got out and snapped the picture).

Sounds like you had a good time Brian!
And,considering the short amount of time you've had the car to drive since paint,a bad wheel bearing isn't that bad really!
Great picture too!
Got any more pics?
Later,Mike.

Brian,
I am glad you made it. It sounds like a real experience!
I was looking forward to meeting you in person and I am sorry that I had to leave before you arrived in Muskegon.
Congratulations on making the Tour! The turnout in Muskegon was fantastic!

The guy I stayed with in Warren, MI was Gerry LaFeir (hope I spelled it right). Gerry owns a '65 Impala coupe, 409/4 speed car (red on red) and a '65 Impala SS convertible, white with tan interior. Said to have every option except for "level air" and "power antenna" (I think he said power antenna, its been 2 weeks ago that we talked).

Would look real nice next to my level air pump!
Beautiful cars Brian.

Indeed, really nice rides.
I'm kinda digging the tan interior in that white drop top. Don't see tan interiors very often.
