Can anyone tell me if the top and bottom escutcheons on the front window garnish moulding are the same? I seem to have lost one so I need to know which one I have and be able to search for a replacement.

Also, what years will fit my 51?

Thanks Bob, do you know if they are the same top and bottom? I have one but don't know which one it is if they are different.

Bill,

Looking at my parts car (51'), they are not the same. The top one has a curve or bend in it to overlap the center, the bottom one is pretty well flat.

I do not have any of these "connectors" for the inside.

Have not been onto the parts manual yet, will do so this afternoon.

OK, so they are different. Now how do I tell which one I have? ARe there any clues as to how to tell them apart since the moldings are not on the car at this time and the windshield is out?

Here you go Bill,

"TOP"

"BOTTOM"

"TOP ON RIGHT"

If you can wait until the 8th, I can bring it out when I pick up the rear end.

It looks to me from your pictures that I have the bottom one.

Maybe it's my eyes, but the top one looks like it has more of ridge in the "U" than the bottom one. It could just be the way the picture is too.

Hey guys,

The bottom one is virtually straight, it just fits around the middle piece. The top one is contoured or bent to match the center piece. It's easiest to see the difference if you look at the photos where they are still in place.

Bill, you might remind me in a couple of weeks to make sure I remember to bring it along.

Chris
