I am trying to replace my outer rearview mirror for my '58 Impala. I would like to find something close to original as possible but am not having much luck. I know there is a ton of aftermarket mirrors but nothing matches up with what is on the car ( assuming it original). Any suggestions? Stephen

i like to use 55-57 outside mirrors.you can see it on the attatched pic. i have these on both my 56 and my 62.
56 bel air ((since 2002)
62 impala ss (since 1965)
65 el camino (since 1969)
66 nova (since 1987)
67 malibu convertible (since 1981)
72 el camino ss454 (since 1985)
83 gmc 4wd (since 1991)
95 impala (new)
11 malibu (new)

If yours is indeed original style, you'll need something like this:

Plenty of vendors have them, just used this as a sample of what to look for.

58 mirrors have a pointier base than the 59-60 ones. They also don't have the Chevy bowtie on the backside either.
