I realize it isn't a Chev but, it is GM and I am already a member here at CT!
My Father-in-law owns a '96 Buick LeSabre Custom with a 3.8 (3800 Series II)V-6. It has 164+ miles on it and still pretty much runs like new. The only immediate issue is tachometer behavior! It had this problem when he bought it two years ago. When started, the tach will peak to its max and bob around up there between say, 5500 and over the max of 7000 on the gauge. After driving awhile, it will settle down and work properly for awhile and then start dancing around again. I learned this as I had to borrow it this week while my '95 S-10 is down for repairs.
I am simply curious if anyone has experienced this behavior with your GM product and if there is a simple cure for it. Thanks in advance!
