When cold (first started) is smokes alot its a 92k 15 fresh build. Here is a smoking pic and a pic after it stops.
When it stops its 100% gone no smoke at all.
CTS is 2 years old but only actualy in use for a few months as it was put in a month before the rebuild process started for the truck. Still know its the most likely cause but just checking opinions. It smells so rich of fuel when smoking it will make your eyes cringe.
Once it starts to warm up it just stops nice and smoothly eases up to no smoke.

Even though it wasnt used, was it still subjected to engine coolant? If so, it probably should be replaced as good measure.

I use water wetter instead of anti freeze as winter here never gets that cold but summers are horrible.
But still a form of coolant and chemical. Ill replace it soon and see what it does just needed a secconed opinion before spending money.

And do you still have a cat? If not, you'll have a far more noticeable fuel smell from the exhaust.
By the way hard to tell from the pics but it looks like normal steam burn-off from condensation. Are you sure it's smoke?

Have the factory cat but im sure by now its empty and gutted. But as far as the smoke it does it ever cold startup weather it sits for a couple hours or over night.
First thing I thought and I checked the radiator and it maintins a full level at all times. Only thing I can think of is a bit rich unless its that prone to build that much condensation up. The exaust did sit open in weather for a few months water built up in the exaust? but wouldnt a drive or 2 eliminate that already?
