The manual says the dome light bulb is a size 80. I went to NAPA and found one. Came home and found out my contact in the light is a double contact. The size 80 bulb is a single contact. The dome light looks original as well as the headliner. It doesn't look like anyone has change anything. What gives?

Thanks Arnie! I just can't figure out why the manual says #80 bulb when it is only a single contact. I hate to pay $6.50 plus shipping for one bulb.

You are correct-my mistake! Do you know if the #88 bulb is double contact? Thanks

It shows as a double contact but has other applications.

Thanks for the info! I have ordered two #88 bulbs from bulbtown.com. Doesn't hurt to have a spare.

Thanks for the help regarding the dome light bulb on my 51 styeline. I have bought the proper #88 bulb. Now it appears that the switch in the dome light assembly is bad. Does anyone know where I can find one, or is there a generic replacement switch?

Not this Saturday because The Showdown is happening with a load of '49-'54 Chevys on display and running in the mud! Maybe the following week or maybe we can get a new replacement.
