This past Sunday was a very special day for my GF and I as we drove "the 'Widow" - my '57 Black Widow "tribute car" to the "Heartbeat Happening" show at Bates' Nut Farm, just outside Valley Center, CA. PERFECT mid-70's weather, around 250 cars.
During the awards, MY name and the car was announced for "Favorite Original Tri-Five"!!! I WAS IN SHOCK - totally flabbergasted and flatfooted, looked back at my GF - "did I hear right??? "GO! GO! You won!!! There was a 2nd 150 there that was far more original appearing than mine that I thought was more deserving. DANG...
Here goes with a few pics... THANKS to my Honey Theresa for posting them!

Congrats on the award. I really like how straight that car looks, nice job.

Tim, all these years I thought your only Tri-5 was was a low budget, 6-cyl 150!
That's a beautiful 57. We want under-hood pictures.

Well... ya Mike... I drove the Six the weekend before on a 70 mile club cruse through the back roads of eastern and northern San Diego Co.
We drove back over much of the same beautiful route on our way back home. Such a beautiful day, wanted to make it last as long as I could... There is just NO BAD DAYS rolling in our cars. The Fuelie ran FLAWLESS, just push the pedal and it pulls from 1,000 RPM up in 3rd and 4th, around the curves and up the hills. With MANUAL discs, I have to take it easy in the twisties.
THANKS GUYS for your comments!!!
I am a BLESSED man to have two 150's - one a driveable PROJECT, the Fuelie, a driveable INVESTMENT (I HOPE...)!
Junior, we locals enjoy calling it "Nates Butt Farm"!!!

A huge congrats Tim!
I would have loved to have been there as that setting at the farm is really fantastic.
The car looks great, maybe you'll want to autocross it at the next Del Mar goodguys?

Mike - I do have a engine pic - look on page 2 or 3 of my first thread on the car on page 5 of the stock forum. I have corrected a few sins of the PO - battery hold-down, alt. bracket, overflow tank replaced with a 2-qt. Stanly thermos, oil filler tube and cap painted. I need to start a new thread with pics of my upgrades to make the car MORE period correct for the era. Need GF's help in editing and posting the pics...
Next on the list is a spring and bearing kit and relay for the horns (PO doesn't believe in using them... ), third brake light from a '55 truck tail light. I also need to do some trannie and shifter work - the 2.20 Muncie is a PITA on take-offs with the 3.36 Posi, long-stick Hurst doesn't even feel like a Hurst with mile-long throws. I have a 3.11 Saginaw box painted up to resemble a early T-10, will try shifting it off the column - with a OD cable for reverse!
Pete - I never did autocross the six, so would rather get a few laps in with that car first - the power brakes are soooo much better than the 'Widow, just love the twisties in that car!!!
Again, guys - MUCHO THANKS TO ALL OF YOU!!! The car is really, truly a driver. In person, you'll see the black paint job is only so-so, rear bumper needs rechroming. Carpet job is NOT great, but the repop rubber mat from Eckeler's is 3-bills! Lots of little things that need TLC, like with any USED CAR one picks up. Still, the gal has been an AMAZING conversation piece wherever we go! The questions may NEVER end!!!
Take Care, Tim
