I went to install the new drive shaft, but it seems to be a bit long. I got a new front shaft from show cars. But the shop goofed and did not balance, it then took it apart. The front shaft is 25 inches long. The slip joint has a 4 inch snout. It seems to be about an inch too long. Putting it into a turbo 350.

Oops let me explain it better.
When the shop put everything together. IE: the new front shaft (for a TH350), and the new slip yoke, old rear shaft and new u joints, they also installed the new carrier bearing...Then they didnt balance it. So they cut the front shaft to get the bearing off.....
Then redid it all. I suspect they might have made it too long. Or I got the wrong shaft to begin with
The carrier bearing bolt holes line up. So, I am not sure where to start at a new driveshaft shop...
Car is also on jack stands if that makes a difference. I ordered the new front shaft, so there would be no issues...LOL
Again the new front shaft is 25" long. and the new slip yoke has a 4 inch long snout....if thats the culprit

With the car raised up & rear suspension loaded. Insert your assembled driveshaft all the way into the transmission until it bottoms out. Then back it out 1" and re-calculate your front length for shortening.

that bearing fit is just a slight taper on the shaft. Comes off with a curved punch and a BFH. Seems like the shop is messing up bad.
